In the drama that has happened with the late night line-ups, Mr. O’Brien was an obvious choice.

Even though I think Conan’s quirky since of humor hasn’t shined as brightly in the earlier time slot, it just seems poor form for Leno to have the power to swoop in and take back his old gig because he’s been AWFUL in his new one.

It’s the same reason the bail-outs bothered me: If you fail, you’re out! I’m not saying there’s no mercy, but c’mon Leno! Can you please just retire and give someone else a chance?

And the other late night hosts agree. Here’s Jimmy’s take on the Late Night Wars.

Craig Ferguson and David Letterman took their own shots, while Jimmy Fallon tweeted today that he would be talking about it after his monologue.

After Conan’s letter Tuesday, it’s anyone’s guess what will happen, but if Leno does make it back to the Tonight Show, I’m one viewer who will not be watching.

Howling at New Moon

Everyone’s getting in on it- mocking the Twilight series. And I applaud them. There is so much to make fun of and laugh at. I’m still baffled, by the way, as to why anyone likes the last book…

But I digress…because it’s so rampant, here are my top 3 favorite Twilight/ New Moon parodies.

The One and Only Craig Ferguson

Ladies and Gentleman,

may I introduce Mr. Craig Ferguson:

completely ridiculous, hilarious, zany and unexplainable, answering e-mails, playing Prince Charles, Sean Connery or Michael Caine:

Or bumbling through an interview:

but his monologues I never miss. Instead of spitting out joke after joke like other late night personalities, Craig makes his into a short stand-up routine, at least trying to transition from topic to topic.

Just another reason Leno can head back to retirement.

Forget Leno

Hey guess what everyone?! Jay Leno’s back! At the 9:00 slot- its a whole new show! with a monologue and skits and guests!…Oh…its his old show, just earlier. One notable moment from the premier last night: Kanye apologized for his antics Sunday night.

Basically, I don’t care that Leno is back- I think the late night world was just fine without him, and I wish he would just leave it to my favorites, Jimmy Fallon, Craig Ferguson, and of course, that crazy red-head Conan.

Let’s start with Fallon- (watch for my fav clips of Craig and Conan later on) On SNL, Fallon was always the first to giggle in a skit, and he still giggles on his show, like when his friend Will Ferrell is a guest, but mostly, he seems to have grown out of it. Haven’t given Fallon a chance on late night? Here are 3 of my favorite moments
